Frankfurt, Germany – In a significant move underscoring the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA)'s commitment to innovation and global collaboration, Former President Faruque Hasan is set to grace the Techtextil exhibition with his presence. Scheduled to speak on April 24th during the esteemed event running from April 23rd to 26th, Hasan’s presentation is poised to highlight Bangladesh's role in denim and technical textiles.
Technical textiles are an integral component of modern life, spanning a diverse array of applications from activewear and sportswear to life-saving fireproof materials and medical textiles. The surge in active lifestyle adoption and outdoor activities post-Covid-19 has further escalated the demand for high-performance textiles, including rain-proof and heat-resistant materials. Techtextil in Frankfurt emerges as the main showcase for these innovations, drawing attention to the latest in textile technology alongside Texprocess, a parallel exhibition focusing on garment textile machinery.
Hasan’s visit, accompanied by a robust delegation from Bangladesh, signifies a strategic move towards enhancing the textile sector's capabilities through exposure to state-of-the-art technologies and materials showcased at the exhibition. This visit is expected to foster valuable partnerships and knowledge sharing with global industry leaders, catalyzing growth and innovation within Bangladesh's textile industry. Meetings have already been arranged with associations from India, Taiwan, Pakistan and China regarding fabric and other accessories.
Further accentuating Bangladesh’s presence, the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has curated a national pavilion hosting five exhibitors at Techtextil, with Triple Tree Solutions making a mark at Texprocess. With over 1,600 exhibitors and anticipated attendance exceeding 50,000 trade visitors, the events promise unparalleled networking and learning opportunities.
The participation of Bangladeshi enterprises in Techtextil and Texprocess 2024 is a testament to the country's dedication to advancing its textile industry through technological adoption and international collaboration.
